I began to set myself up for a health crisis when I was 18: I worked 60-hour weeks, slept around 4 hours per night, ate any food that was fast and located between jobs, and fueled myself with caffeine and sugar. I maintained this regime for 4 years, with no break.

In 2011, I experienced the result: adrenal fatigue, hormone imbalances, and unstable thyroid levels. These issues gave me a number of difficult symptoms: trouble sleeping, sudden weight loss, skin problems and severe anxiety issues, to name a few. I also discovered I had intolerances to gluten, dairy, and eggs. My intolerances were creating massive inflammation in my body, which gave me achey joints, digestive problems, fatigue and brain fog.

I slowly began to understand how my lifestyle and my relationship with food were rife with unhealthy behavior patterns. I eliminated allergens from my diet and began incorporating healthful, hearty food to give me the nutrition I needed. As I learned how to better manage my time, I was able to give my body time to rest and prioritize my wants and needs. I removed caffeine and refined sugar from my diet. I learned to use whole grains and vegetables. I learned to prepare meals I loved at home, using whole ingredients that left me feeling far more satisfied than fast or processed food products did.

Within less than a year, I had helped my body heal itself – not with medication or unpleasant procedures, but with diet and lifestyle changes. I have never felt healthier! I eat when I’m hungry, I stop when I’m full, and I feel great about what I feed my body. I no longer need any kind of stimulant to give me energy, because I give my body sleep and nutritious food to fuel it, and I feel incredible! I decided I wanted to help others experience the same kind of wellness I do.

I received my training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I was trained in more than one hundred dietary theories and studied a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. Drawing on this knowledge, I will help you create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals.

It is my deepest desire to help my clients understand what their bodies are really asking for, and to see that the changes don’t need to be scary or difficult. I help my clients take small steps toward the goals they set for themselves, and I celebrate their success with them when they look back and see how much they’ve accomplished!
